バンクーバー五輪 Vancouver Winter Olympics

News reporting will start very soon and for Japan on 1st day of February.

After keeping a low profile and not writing anything on my website for a week so I can reset myself, I wasn’t planning on doing more writeups but with the coming Olympics, I decided I had to. I will never see a another Olympic in my own city or country probably for the rest of my life.

Really… how many people in this world can say that in their life, they experienced an Olympics in their own country and in their own CITY!!

There is mixed emotions though… I feel happy, that the Olympics are here, the whole world will be in Vancouver, the city is going CRAZY, so many new buildings, new transportation equipment, new roads, new trains, new EVERYTHING…

But I also feel stressed, because it will be CRAZY for me to go to work in the morning! I cannot imagine how long I will have to wait for the skytrain or how many MILLIONS of people are going to jamming into the train. AND of course that a lot of money has been spent by the government to build so many new things… taxes are going to go up and I already pay TOO MUCH tax on the money I make… >_<

BUT… I will never have a chance in my life again… NEVER… so I decided I have to write something and report it and celebrate this 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver…

I also have other mixed emotions… I remember many years ago… especially when I got engaged to Miyuki… thinking how AWESOME it would be for me and her to enjoy the Olympics… maybe go watch Mao Asada compete at the ice-skating competition, or go to Whistler to watch skiing (Miyuki likes the Mogul). How cool it would be to invite her parents to visit Vancouver during the Olympics. This was many years ago… and now… 2010 is finally here… after so many years of waiting… (And us growing older… I’m so old now >_<), the Olympics is finally here.. and it is the year 2010. I do wish she were here… and for her to experience all the excitement and happiness and positive things in life.

But for now… this Friday after work, I will take my DSLR camera and just take photos around downtown. You guys will not believe what Vancouver has become for the Olympics! It is very exciting and there are soooo many cool things! So as we get closer to February, I will try my best to visit more Olympic sites and take as many photos as I can.

I was thinking of just staying home and watching the Olympics on tv, but then… there’s so many things to do, I should go out and enjoy the Olympics! Because…. I AM… Canadians… Vancouver people… are paying for it!! If I paid for it… I should enjoy it!
